Highly recommend. We recently moved and had no trouble re-installing the unit. We purchased this weather station over 3 years ago and it's still going strong. I love all the features particularly the inside and outside humidity as some units don't include. We've used it in several different locations trying to decide the most convenient and it has transmitted effectively in all locations.
I find the outside off (a little high) by a few degrees but this is probably due to the location of the outdoor sensor. Pretty much right on target for the indoor temperature and humidity. I don't have much use for the alarm feature with the snooze, I really don't even see the point in having the alarm feature - after all I won't be using this for my bedroom alarm clock. I've owned this for about 20 months now and just yesterday had to replace the AA batteries for the very first time. It's the only clock in my house that has accurate time due to the atomic clock updating every day between midnight and 6 AM. I had to mount it way up in a corner by my front door in order to keep it from getting rained on.
Also, if you lose your manual it's really difficult to find one online. Unfortunately the outdoor sensor quit working after only a few months of service. Wish it would have lasted longer. I was very impressed with the size of the screen on this unit. It worked great for me all winter long displaying very accurate temperatures even when it was way below zero. After much digging I finally found the manual here: http://www.lacrossetechnology.com/fx5000/manual.pdfOverall I liked the unit when it worked.
After our original weather station was dropped and broke, it was reassuring to get this new version that is smaller and displays more information in an easier to read format.
I find it accurate and easy to read. I have no complaints about this unit. I'm considering purchasing another one as a gift.
